The Ojo de Agua (Waterhole) is the name of two pools filled with a continuous stream of fresh water that is said to make bathers 5 years younger. Not completely “natural”, cement and rocks form their structure while the floor is rocky and sandy to maintain a more rustic experience. Set in a tropical forest, the crystal clear water comes from a well at the bottom of the upper pool and is chilly but refreshing. It took about an hour on our rented scooter to get across the hourglass shaped island to the spot in the middle of the isthmus. We stayed in long enough for the wrinkles to show up on our fingers but the age-defying magic wasn’t so immediate…
Como fizemos exercício suficiente para dois dias ontem, tiramos o dia livre para descansar. E nada como deixar o medo de lado e alugar uma scooter para disfrutar da pequena ilha mais rapidamente. Paramos em Ojo del Água (Olho de Água), pensando em encontrar uma nascente rústica, e quando nos demos conta, uma piscina super bem estruturada. Fonte de água mineral, com uma temperatuda maravilhosa, o rapaz na entrada nos disse que quem se banha aqui, rejuvenece uns 5 anos, então, é aqui que vamos passar o dia inteiro!!! Águas cristalinas, com fero, magnésio, cálcio e por ser uma água vulcânica ajuda na circulação sanguinea também. Aproveitamos muito e quando saímos dá água já nos sentimos mais jovens… rs. Para completar, uma água de coco para recompor as energias.
