Boquete is a cozy village set in the green mountain highlands of Panama, about 35 miles from the border with Costa Rica. It’s situated just outside the rugged and secluded La Amistad International Park and its mountain ranges, incredible wildlife, and rain forests. Exploring the tiny town on foot does not take long and what appeals to so many visitors are the countless eco-adventure activities in the area. One of the top attractions is to climb nearby Baru Volcano which is Panama’s highest point and supposedly the “easiest” place in the world to see both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. We aren’t committing ourselves to the ascent but realize we are entering the Central American Volcanic Arc as we work our way North so more opportunities will abound.
Igreja de Boquete, Terminal de Boquete, Escola de Boquete e até Clinica Valle Boquete. Mas, calma!!! Não é isso que você deve estar pensando, Boquete é só o nome da cidade. Linda, charmosa e entre vales e montanhas, a pequenina vila panamenha é muito agradável. Um clima diferenciado do restante do país por causa da altitude. Pela manhã o sol raia, a tarde chove mas durante a maior parte do dia é super fresco e anoite dá até para usar uma blusinha de frio. Há várias atividades para fazer como passeios nos rios, parques e trilhas, mas o atrativo principalmente é o Vulcão Baru. Se vamos escala-lo, bem, isso já são outros 500’s, acho que passaremos dessa vez. Mas estamos dispostos a caminhar e desvendar os segredos de Boquete em Boquete, ops… rs : ))
