We walked up to the Asakusa neighborhood to visit the first (and definitely not the last) temple of our trip. Sensō-ji just happens to be the oldest and largest Buddhist temple in Tokyo and you feel the peacefulness when inside. The street leading to it is another story though. Stalls of vendors selling trinkets, souvenirs, bites to eat, and Hello Kitty merchandise give you a sense that commerce is on the mind of many outside of the serene confines of Sensō-ji.
Hoje foi muito emocionante conhecer o templo Budista mais antigo de Tóquio Sensō-ji. Mesmo tendo sua construção há muitos anos atrás estar ali visitando aquele lugar, tivemos a impressão que voltamos ao tempo. Aquele cheiro de incenso, misturado com as orações das pessoas junto com a energia positiva ficará sempre na memória… Arigatō
